Let’s make some waffles, shall we? They are soft, fluffy, and perfectly crispy.
You’ll need a waffle maker for this one, though.
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 5 teaspoons sugar (I personally do not add sugar, they are sweet enough without)
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups warm milk
- 1/3 melted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a large bowl mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Preheat waffle maker.
In a separate bowl beat the eggs. Stir in warm milk, vanilla and melted butter. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and beat until combined.
Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle maker. Bake until they are golden (4-5 minutes in my waffle maker). Serve while warm.
You can serve them with maple syrup, jam, fresh fruit, Nutella…the possibilities are endless.
